We had 5 days off last week in celebration of Lunar New Year. We were fortunate that our school gave us the entire time off so that we could have enough time to actually travel somewhere. We spent five days in Japan. Flying into Tokyo and then traveling 5 hours to Hakuba, we spent two days skiing in the Nagano region and one day visiting the snow monkeys. It was absolutely beautiful! We had clear blue sky the first day and fresh snow the second day. We were very impressed with the ease at which Japan welcomes traveling westerners. Hakuba was a great little ski village....we would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Japan. Here are a few pictures from our time. ReplyDeleteI showed the video and pics to Cassandra today...she loved it. She kept saying, "monkey"!, "uncle Johnny", "Auntie Em". On the way home, she said, "I like monkeys!" I told her Uncle Johnny likes them , too. She said, "Auntie Em likes them, too!"

ReplyDeleteOhhh, this brings back so many memories, although I never got to meet any snow monkeys! Wish we could have been there skiing with you guys. What a great adventure!
